VCK Slams CM's Assembly Conduct, Questions DMK Silence

The Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK) has voiced strong criticism regarding the Chief Minister’s demeanour during a recent session of the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly. The party described the CM’s conduct as ‘mocking’ and ‘disrespectful’, stating it was unbecoming of the high office.

In a statement released to the press, VCK leaders expressed their dismay over what they perceived as dismissive gestures and sarcastic remarks from the Chief Minister while addressing opposition queries and during general proceedings. They highlighted that such behaviour undermines the sanctity of the legislative body and sets a poor precedent.

Beyond the direct criticism of the Chief Minister, the VCK also castigated the leadership of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) for its apparent silence on the matter. The party questioned why no corrective action or public statement had been issued by the ruling party’s top brass, suggesting a tacit approval of the CM’s actions.

The VCK called for greater decorum and respect within the Assembly, urging all members, particularly those in leadership positions, to uphold the dignity of the house. The party’s remarks add to the ongoing political discourse surrounding parliamentary conduct in the state.
